Mini Pin Pup

This is Penny, our cute 11 month old Miniature Pinscher puppy. We were doing some gardening and cleaning up the backyard in our new home when she was casually lying down for a bit and I had my camera so I was able to get some adorable shots of her. She usually doesn't hold still for too long! Mini pin puppies, even at only 7 pounds, have endless energy and are definitely the king of the toy dog breeds. Our favorite animal pet, she runs like a rabbit, and will bite and tug on your pants when you're not looking. This little dog runs circles around German Shepards. She is very vocal, will whine, growl, bark, and gruff when she needs things. Our male min pin just adores her as well.

I had to get very low into the grass to get this shot of her little chest and doggy face. She often lies with her back legs fanned open, belly flat on the ground to keep cool. This little pup was produced by a local breeder who specializes in toy dogs. In this photo, she is just under a year old and barely over 7 pounds. I think she has bulked up a bit as she has become more active past her first birthday. I don't think there is any other small toy breed of dog that can keep up with a miniature pinscher except maybe a Jack Russel Terrier. But mini pins have a special place in my heart! She is my third, so far.
